TimeCache is an easy-to-use time tracking application. PandaWare TimeCache is for anybody who charges clients for their time. It lets you keep track of time and billing on projects you work on for different clients. It offers extensive reporting, exporting and printing capabilities. Here are some of the useful features you'll find:
• Lets you track time spent on projects down to the tenth- or
quarter-hour (your choice)
• Automatically times you as you work and optionally logs your
start and stop times
• Data entry is easy -- just select items from lists
• A virtually infinite number of clients, projects and
activities are accessible with a mouse click
• Lets you assign different hourly rates to any activity
• Automatically sums your time and charges on every project
• Automatically creates summary reports for any project
• Automatically creates daily timesheet reports
• Lets you customize the data you record on each project
• Lets you export data on projects to database, spreadsheet or
other applications for incorporation into your own billing
system
There are many other features waiting for you to discover. TimeCache Demo offers every function available in the full working version. Since it's a demo, it limits you to tracking up to seven projects for up to 20 days.
What's Included
This TimeCache Demo package includes:
• TimeCache 1.61 Demo — the TimeCache HyperCard stack.
• Time Reports — a FileMaker II file that lets you import project
data for creating your own invoices, or other purposes.
• TimeCache Demo Help — a standalone application that includes
TimeCache Tutorial, which gives you a working introduction to
TimeCache very quickly, and a complete reference to TimeCache
functions and menu commands
• TimeCache Registration — a text file you can print and use to
register your copy(ies) of TimeCache by check or money order
• Register — an application you can use as an alternative method
to register TimeCache, especially useful if you’d rather pay by
credit card or any method other than check or money order
Requirements
TimeCache requires HyperCard or HyperCard Player, version 2.0 or higher. HyperCard requires Macintosh System software 6.05 or higher and a Macintosh Plus or newer model Mac. A Macintosh with a 68020 or faster CPU, and at least 1000 Kbytes memory allocated to HyperCard is recommended. PowerMacs should allocate at least an additional 200 Kbytes RAM.
Look before you leap!
If you're new to TimeCache, be sure to go through the “TimeCache Tutorial” section of the “TimeCache Demo Help” in the TimeCache Demo folder. This information will quickly take you through the steps involved in using TimeCache. Be sure to also read the rest of the help information, or review the on-line help for information on options you may want to customize before beginning extensive use of TimeCache.
If you are a registered user of an earlier PandaWare TimeCache or Timekeeper version, you can upgrade to the full working version of TimeCache 1.61 by sending US $10.00 (plus 8.2% sales tax if you’re a Washington state resident) per copy to The PandaWare Company, 4907 Burke Avenue N., Seattle, WA 98103.
Becoming a registered TimeCache user
We encourage you to use this TimeCache demo freely. Share it with friends, post it on bulletin boards. We hope you'll realize TimeCache's value, and register for the full working version.
When you register, we'll send you a disk which includes the latest full, working version of TimeCache, with virtually unlimited capacity. You also get helpful utility files and complete, illustrated documentation on disk. Registering also allows you to receive technical support and future upgrades to TimeCache at rock bottom prices.
There are two ways to register:
If you can send a check or money order in U.S. funds, you can register for the full working version of TimeCache with the “TimeCache Registration” text file that comes in the TimeCache Demo folder. Your disk will be shipped immediately upon receipt of payment. If you would like to use an alternate form of payment, you can use the “Register” application that comes in the TimeCache Demo folder. This payment method requires processing time which delays shipment of your disk by several days.
Registering with the “TimeCache Registration” form
Open the “TimeCache Registration” text file that comes with TimeCache Demo, fill it in, and mail it with a check or money order for U.S. $40.00* per user to:
The PandaWare Company
4907 Burke Ave. N.
Seattle, WA 98103
USA
Note: The registration fee covers one copy per user.
*Please add $7.00 for shipments outside the United States. Washington State residents, please add 8.2% sales tax. Add $7.00 for domestic 2nd day air shipment.
Registering with the “Register” application
If you’d rather not send a check or money order, you can use the Register application that comes with TimeCache Demo to pay by an alternate method. Complete directions for using the Register application are found at the end of this document.
Distribution
Please feel free to distribute this “TimeCache Demo” via user groups, bulletin boards, on-line systems, etc., as long as you charge no money for it other than basic duplicating costs. If you do distribute it to others, please make sure that it is complete and includes all the components listed above in the “What’s included” section.
Export TimeCache data to your accounting system
If you work at a company that bills clients for employees' time, inquire about TimeCache XP. This expanded version of TimeCache exports daily timesheet data to PC and Macintosh accounting systems. It eliminates the wasted time and inaccuracies of re-keying employees’ handwritten or printed timesheets. For information, please contact:

How to register TimeCache using the “Register” application
Using the Register application is fairly straightforward. Once Register is open, fill in your name, e-mail address (if you have one — it helps us stay in touch about updates, etc.), postal address (required so that we can send you a disk) and the number of users you’re purchasing licenses for. If you’d like to have the disk shipped to a U.S. address via 2nd day air, or have it shipped to an address outside the U.S., check the box for extra shipping charges. Your total charge will appear on screen. Save, Copy or Print the data from the Register program and send the data and payment to Kagi Sales at:
FAX: +1 510 652-6589
E-mail: sales@kagi.com
If paying with Credit Card or First Virtual, you can e-mail or fax the data to Kagi Sales. You can either copy the data from Register and paste it into the body of an e-mail message or you can Save the data to a file and attach that file to an e-mail message. If you have a fax modem, just Print the data to the Kagi fax number. If you are paying with Cash, print the data from the Register application and send the printout and your payment to:
Kagi Sales
1442-A Walnut Street #392-DB
Berkeley, California 94709-1405
USA
Kagi Sales accepts cash from many different countries, but accepts checks only in U.S. Dollars. If you are paying with a check made out to U.S. Dollars, we encourage you to use the “TimeCache Registration” method discussed above. You’ll receive your disk several days sooner.
If you have a purchasing department, you can enter all the data into the Register program and then select Invoice as your payment method. Print three copies of the form and send it to your accounts payable people. You might want to highlight the line that mentions that they must include a copy of the form with their payment. Kagi Sales cannot invoice your company. You need to handle all the paperwork on your end if you use the Invoice method with Kagi Sales. Note: The PandaWare Company sends an invoice for all purchases when we ship your disk.
Please do not fax or e-mail payment forms to Kagi that indicate Cash, Check or Invoice as the payment method. Without payment, the form cannot be processed. Payments sent via mail take time to reach Kagi Sales and then up to 10 days for processing. If you include a correct e-mail address, you will hear from Kagi Sales when the form is processed, and again from The PandaWare Company when we have been notified of your payment and are shipping your disk.
